March 144/432 MHz 2021

This contest in 2020 was the last contest not to be affected by Covid restrictions, so the pattern of entries is a fair amount different to 2020 - as are the winners and runners up.

On 144MHz 72 squares were worked (121 in 2020) and there were 532 active stations (674 in 2020). There were 135 entries (93 in 2020). ODX was achieved by G0JCC working EB1DJ at 1140km.

On 432MHz 53 squares were active (69 in 2020) and there were 275 active stations (317 in 2020). There were 89 entries (93 in 2020). UK entrant ODX was achieved by M5TKA working DM3D at 921km .

Congratulations go to:

  • Harwell ARS M9P who won the open section - Vecta CG G8W was runner up
  • Keith G4ODA, who won the single operator fixed section - David G4ASR was runner up
  • David M0GHZ who won the six-hour open section - Steve G1YBB was runner up
  • Richard GD8EXI, who won the six-hour single operator fixed section for the eighth year running

As in previous years R1 logs were obtained and were used as part of the adjudication process.

Congratulations to all other band winners and runners up, who together with stations identified, will receive certificates.
